Sleepwalker began during my MFA at the San Francisco Art Institute, alongside my father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Conceived as a self-portrait series that also includes portraits of my father, the photographs reflect a state of disorientation and repetition—moving through familiar spaces that no longer fully register. The work lingers in that suspended awareness, where memory slips, distance grows, and presence feels partial.
